Say hello to our latest design: a bilingual botanical illustration of Coffea Arabica / بن عربي (Bunn 'Arabi), celebrating Yemen’s rich coffee heritage.
As a Yemeni-run business, we’re proud to honour this cultural staple. Coffee’s origins trace back to Yemen, where Sufi saint Ali ibn Omar al-Shadhili famously brewed it to stay awake for worship. Even the word "Mocha" comes from Yemen’s port city of Mokha, where the coffee bean first arrived from Ethopia!
Designed in our creative studio by Aleesha Nandhra and Ibrahim Zanta, horticulturist and Mabrouklyn founder, this piece is a stylish homage to an aspect of Yemeni history that we are part of every morning!
